MEDITATION

The way to reach the understanding of the Buddha’s truth, the way to let go of the clinging mind, is to practice meditation. That is where you draw awareness away from identification with thought. The very definition of meditation is ‘away from thought.’

Meditation Practices

Meditation provides the experiences of inner stillness and ease, allowing the ability to drop unwanted habits and live with clarity.

A tremendous benefit is that you experience the bliss of living behind the mind and dropping the thoughts that prevent you from connecting to who you really are, a pure divine consciousness.

When you embark on the journey of meditation at Royal Way Spiritual Center, you are exposed to a variety of methods ranging from breath work, mindfulness, sound/chanting, and active physical meditations that inspire personal transformation and experiential connection to the divine. Our meditation retreats evoke calm and serenity conducive to deep inner changes and healing.

Put simply:  Meditation is one of a very few effective ways of learning how to live fully…

ACTIVE / ENERGIZING

Meditations that are active and dynamic engage your whole body using movement, music, and breathing techniques to achieve an outer and inner energy shift. By using dynamic motion, the busy mind is then quieted to a place of insight and inner tranquility.

SILENT / SITTING

Sitting in silence, you immerse yourself in ancient practices that invoke stillness and compassion amid a challenging and chaotic outer world. You learn to observe and witness repetitive thoughts rather than cling to them, and to connect with a silence within.

GUIDED / VISUALIZATION

Guided meditations take each meditator on a mysterious journey inward to experience mindfulness and clarity, enhance well-being, and bring attention to relaxation of the body, quieting of the mind, and opening of the heart.

BREATHING / RESTORATIVE

Restorative meditations help the individual gain an understanding of how the body and the mind work in conjunction to build resilience, calmness, and deeper levels of wisdom. By using the breath to meditate, we discover that these techniques can be used anywhere and at any moment throughout the day.

All meditation techniques are trying to get you to this state. This is a timeless state of consciousness. Time becomes irrelevant, except for practical purposes. Make sure as you are listening that you are aware of the energy field that is listening, the being that makes the listening possible, and that includes your entire energy field, your entire body. You are listening even with your little toe. Your entire energy field is present.
