We offer evening meditations, one-day workshops, and overnight retreats focusing on meditation, higher consciousness, and spiritual growth.
Are there age restrictions for participants?
Programs are for participants 18 years and older.

Different costs are associated with various events based on the length of time and specific curriculum.
What should I wear to a retreat?
Loose, comfortable clothing for ease of movement. Sessions may be indoor or outdoor. Royal Way Spiritual Retreat Center is located in the high desert so temperatures will vary seasonally. Please bring optional layers for cooler temperatures.
What should I pack for a retreat or workshop?
Loose, comfortable clothing for indoor and outdoor sessions. Sturdy shoes for hiking and walking in the desert. Socks for indoor sessions in the carpeted group room and a journal for those who would like to write about their experience. Flashlights are good to bring for walking in the evening. Before any retreat or workshop, a detailed list of what to bring will be provided to all registered participants.
Is accommodation provided during retreats?
For overnight retreats at The Royal Way Spiritual Retreat Center, accommodations are provided. Sleeping arrangements are beautifully appointed and comfortable. There are options for single and shared rooms which include private shared bathrooms.
Are meals provided?
Overnight and daylong retreats include meals and snacks throughout the event.
Can I bring my own food if I have dietary restrictions?
Yes. Refrigeration is available in the kitchen at both the Los Angeles office and at the Royal Way Spiritual Retreat Center if needed. It is recommended that food brought to the Retreat Center be kept in the Kitchen area, and not in the rooms.
Will The Royal Way provide specific information about the practices and exercises planned for each event, workshop or retreat?
Each event, workshop, and retreat hosted by Royal Way is a unique and fresh experience for all participants. No two events are alike, so Royal Way does not list specific practices in advance. Often an overall theme of a retreat might be shared, but not every detail in advance, so the retreats have an element of discovery and spontaneity throughout. The nature of the events, workshops, and retreats is a personal inward journey that can bring up deep awareness of one’s self and one’s processes. Royal Way strives to provide a safe and sacred environment for participants to unlock their highest potential and retreaters’ privacy and participants' discretion are encouraged.
Can I bring electronic devices to the retreats?
Electronic devices such as laptops, iPads, cellular devices, etc. are permitted.
Can I participate in programs remotely?
No. All events are held in person.
Are there any prerequisites for advanced workshops?
It is encouraged to attend a preliminary event from The Royal Way before attending an advanced workshop.
What happens if I have an emergency during a program?
At each retreat and workshop, there is always a point of contact for emergencies as well as multiple medical facilities near the Los Angeles office and The Royal Way Spiritual Retreat Center
Does Royal Way recruit members?
Royal Way does not recruit members. Participants attend the various events, workshops, and retreats as their schedules permit. Although classes, workshops, and retreats are held in group settings, the focus of all practices is on the individual and the quest to discover one’s true self.
Are there financial obligations associated with being a member of The Royal Way Spiritual Center?
There is no membership payment structure in Royal Way. Each participant who chooses to attend any Royal Way event pays a registration fee prior to attending.
Are participants pressured to conform to specific beliefs at The Royal Way?
No. One of the essential tenets of Royal Way is freedom. People attending events and workshops come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. The mix of beliefs and personal experiences enhances the community of Royal Way.

Absolutely not. Most participants find their participation in The Royal Way encourages a path of healing and deepening connection with family, friends and co-workers.

Royal Way was established by Michael Menahem Gottlieb as an instrument for bringing individuals to the experience of God — not blind faith, not a philosophical knowing, not a theological knowing, but an experiential knowing.
It is not a cult. Royal Way is founded on freedom and individuation. These two traits cannot exist within a cult. Participants are free to come and go on retreats as they please.Programs are for participants 18 years and older.
